We just spent 3 wonderful nights here! The location cannot be beat! Literally in the middle of everything, close to the main square and the train station! We did not have any issues with loud sounds, the staff was helpful and housekeeping was efficient! Loved it!

Not worth the price

A very well located hotel, in the ultra-central area, with a high price ( the price is higher than at a 4-star hotel in Downtown, Manhattan ), and unjustified accommodation conditions to display 3 stars. The rooms are poorly equipped, they do not have a refrigerator ( just like in a 2-star hotel ), the bathroom is not very clean and does not have good facilities, the breakfast is poor, unjustified for a hotel located in the center of a European capital. The good part is that in the very close area you can find many tourist attractions, points of interest, bars, restaurants, cafes, shops of all kinds.

Pros: * Staff enabled us to check in early * Great location off Grand Place and only a few minutes’ walk to Central Station * Discount for breakfast if you booked the day before (€15 each instead of €18) * Complimentary water in the room * Lovely city view overlooking Grand Place * Modern and efficient shower * Charging points by the bed * Staff were generally friendly/helpful * Able to leave luggage at the hotel after checking out, then collected later in the afternoon before travelling home Cons: * Room being located right opposite the elevator, so could often hear the button and people getting in & out * Lack of soundproofing - could hear doors banging shut, guests in other rooms talking, running water, coughing etc so this was poor and impacted bits of our stay * Inconsiderate guests (including children) making so much noise even at and after midnight, showing complete disregard for others - hotel need to put signs up to remind people to not be selfish and to shut up when other people are trying to sleep! * Body towels for the shower were far too small, and we were only given tiny flannels instead of hand towels - these were not fit for purpose and there was nowhere to dry the towels after use, which meant we had no choice but to have them replenished daily * Bed seemed fairly comfortable, however we woke up with backache on two mornings - there were obvious stains on the mattress from previous guests, which was very off-putting * Room for two guests was only provided with one extra pillow - these were very flat and did not provide support * Confusion around whether the Ibis offered food - there was a menu and information in the room which said food could be provided, however when we asked at reception one evening (around 7pm), they seemed confused and said we couldn’t get any food at the hotel so we had to look elsewhere * Not enough storage space in room e.g. no drawers * No mini fridge - would have expected this for the price * Toilet shoved in a tiny corner of the bathroom which made the space feel claustrophobic, and sink was very slow to drain water away * No instructions for heating/cooling contraption so was hard to understand how this worked Overall, the negatives outweighed the positives of our stay which was disappointing. The view from the room was lovely, and the main highlight for us. If we visit Brussels again, we will look at staying elsewhere due to the aforementioned list of negatives.

While our hotel is equipped with soundproof windows, we understand that external noises can sometimes be disruptive, and we are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. Regarding the towels, we provide daily housekeeping unless towels are hung up, in line with our environmental policy, and we apologize if the towel size was not to your satisfaction. We are concerned to learn about your discomfort with the bed and that the extra pillow provided was not adequate. Our Sweet Bed by ibis mattresses are typically well-received for comfort, and we regret that this was not your experience. We acknowledge your comments on the confusion regarding food services and apologize for any miscommunication. While we do not have a restaurant on-site, our location offers a variety of dining options in the surrounding area. The absence of a mini fridge and limited storage space are noted, and we understand these aspects did not meet your expectations. Our compact bathroom design is intended to maximize space, and we apologize if this felt claustrophobic. We also take note of your feedback on the heating/cooling system and will consider providing clearer instructions for our guests. Brussels trip

The hotel is in the perfect location. Very close to the train station & Grand Place. Also nearby many shops & restaurants. The room clean but was TINY! I’ve never had a smaller hotel room. Also the bed topper kept sliding off. I kept falling off the bed in the middle of the night. Seriously hard to sleep on this bed & room could barely fit 2 people. Overall, I would recommend because of location.

Would Not Recommend

Unfortunately I would not recommend this hotel to friends, or stay here again. The location is amazing, but that's about it. The beds are extremely hard, I had to lay out pillows to sleep on and I was still sore the next morning. I was woken up constantly by noises, be it sirens, banging on walls/ceilings, or people screaming outside at 3 am. We were also charged for services we did not request or use (i was able to get this straightened up with the front desk).
